The Nigeria AgriBusiness and Agro-Industry Development Initiative (NAADI) with other organisations is set for the hosting of AgriBusiness Roundtable Uyo 2021 at Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort on 13th and 14th December, 2021 by 9:00am promt.

This was disclosed by the Zonal Coordinator South-South of NAADI, Mr. Howard Usen during a media parley with newsmen in Uyo, yesterday.

According to NAADI Zonal Coordinator, the 2021 Conference with the theme: ‘Unveiling new Opportunities, New Possibilities/Launching of N5.5b Agricultural Training and Innovative Centre, exhibition and Awards,’ will have the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as Chief Host.

The event which will take place on Monday, 13th December, 2021 through 14th December 2021 will showcase the following Resource persons; Mr. Godwin Emefiele – CBN Governor; Lady Tee Thompson – AgroBiz Executive Director, USA; Her Excellency, Amb Mariam Katagum, Minister of state, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

Others include: Alhaji Aliyu Abdulhameed – MD NIRSAL PLC; and Annabel Kamuche, Group MD, NICERT Group.

NAADI Zonal Coordinator, Howard Usen said at the end of the event a turnaround in the Agricultural world will be achieved as a communique will be released on alternatives aside oil and gas to drive the economy.

He also said a framework will be developed as niches could be conveniently created for our children. With the establishment of the Training Centre, many youth will acquire skills and vistas opened for growth in Agricultural business.

There will be products exhibition and reward of hardwork during the Conference.

On the aspect of funding, the NAADI Zonal Coordinator said a lot have been put in place to guide Agric-preneurs on available intervention programs of Federal Government to make funds available to farmers.

The implementation Committee consists of several partners of the programme which include; NEXIM, Bank of Industry, FMARD, World Bank, Bank of Agriculture (BOA), NIRSAL and others.

Other organisers of the event include: Federation of Agricultural Commodity Associations of Nigeria (FACAN); Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI); and Akwa Ibom State Government, AKSG.
