In terms of complimentary projects for Ibom Deep Seaport, Mr Okon said a counterpart funding has been made available by the Governor which has made it possible for some local government areas access funds.

Some local Governments have begun to use these funds in developing their localities especially provision of pressing infrastructures for the masses.

“The Deep Seaport is not just an industry like any other. This is one industry that is going to create an enablement for the community where it is located to become an industrial hub leading to the birthing of other industries.

“The state government is focused on making sure that everything that enables businesses functionality is provided for at the location of the Seaport.
