‘GUITAR BOY’ SINGER, PROF. SIR VICTOR UWAIFO DIES AT 80

The Legendary Music artiste behind the popular song ‘Guitar Boy,’ a guitarist too, Prof. Sir Victor Uwaifo Joins his ancestors at 80.

The Late artiste, had hands which were familiar with the strings hence the song which threw him to limelight was entitled ‘Guitar Boy.’

The inspiration behind the popular song ‘Guitar Boy,’ was somewhat fable-like than being a real life story. According to the late song artiste, he met ‘mammy-water,’ a Mermaid which he had conversation with.

According to reports, Sir Uwaifo died on Saturday, 28th August after a brief illness.

Sir Uwaifo contributed greatly to the entertainment industry in his chosen class of music.

Apart from being an entertainer of many decades, he was also a song writer, sculptor, University lecturer and musical instrument inventor and a former commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
