ENDSARS: PRESIDENT BUHARI ADDRESSES THE NATION

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari will address the citizens today, 22nd October, 2020 over the #EndSARS protest which has claimed lives and properties.

The address is said to be long over due as the President has been silent over the protest which lasted more than a forth-night across the country.

The peaceful protest degenerated on the October 20, 2020 when Nigerian youth were massacred at Lekki, Lagos by the Nigerian soldiers.

This has caused uproar in the Country and international viewers have described the killing as treason and unconstitutional.

As at the moment of filing this report, it is reported that the Protest in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State has degenerated as two have been allegedly killed.

There is tension and uproar across the streets of Uyo due to the development.

Security officers are found dispatched to strategic positions across the state.

“Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.

“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”
