COVID19: LAWMAKER, COMMISSIONER PRESENT PALLIATIVES TO ALLEVIATE LOCKDOWN EFFECTS
…ENCOURAGES ADHERENCE TO PREVENTIVE MEASURES.
Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset and the Commissioner for Housing, Otuekong Raphael Bassey led a delegation to render succour to Nsit Atai people in the face of lockdown due to Covid 19 pandemic.
The delegation presented the palliatives to constituents today at Unity Hall, Odot, Nsit Atai State Constituency.
The Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset seized the opportunity to sensitize the people of the dangers of the COVID19 pandemic. He encouraged them to abide by all the preventive measures of washing hands frequently with soap and running water; and also observe social- distancing to curb the spread of the pandemic.
He urged the constituents to maintain total Lockdown and obey Government’s order.
The Lawmaker mandated all Political Leaders of various Wards in Nsit Atai to ensure that the palliatives are distributed evenly across Political Party lines.
Also in the same vein, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Otuekong Raphael Bassey advised the entire people of Nsit Atai to shun any political sentiment and join forces to fight the spread of this pandemic.
Highpoint of the event was the sharing of several bags of rice and beans; numerous cartons of noddles, hand sanitizers, cartons of seasoning cubes and cash to the ten wards that constitute Nsit Atai State Constituency.
Other dignitaries who were in the delegation included: the Vice Chairman of Nsit Atai LGA, Hon. Idorenyin Inyang; the PDP South-South Zonal Officer, Hon. MC Akpan; the Nsit PDP Chapter Chairman, Mr. Chrysanthus Okon; the Nsit Atai PDP Chapter Vice Chairman, Obong Cyril Ibanga; the Political Leader of Ibedu Group of Villages, Prince Aniefiok Attah; Hon. Smart Ben; Councilors; and others too numerous to mention.
