AKWA IBOM ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IS A GOLDMINE – CLEM OHAMEZE
Veteran Nollywood actor, Clem Ohameze has submitted that the Akwa Ibom Entertainment Industry is a goldmine yet to be tapped.
He made the remark in Uyo on Thursday, August 6, 2020 when he paid a visit to the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Entertainment Industry, Mr David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom).
The Nollywood star is in the state for the shoot of a movie by Akwa Ibom born Director and Producer Slyz B. Being his 5th time in the state, Mr Clem said he is amazed about the untapped natural and human resources available in the state.
Ohameze stated that if adequate policies are put in place and the available resources put to use, it could spark an unprecedented tourism revolution in the state which is rich in all ramifications.
In response, after reeling out his achievement in office over the years, including signature events of the Akwa Ibom State Entertainment Industry Working Committee, the governor’s aide pledged his continuous support to encourage film makers place Akwa Ibom on top of their choice locations to shoot movies.
In his words “Akwa Ibom State is blessed with abundant natural resources and choice locations for all sort of movies.
Please tell your colleagues about this and invite more of them to come.
We are aware that this will boost internally generated revenue (IGR) and also showcase our rich culture and numerous talented actors.
On behalf of my boss, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, and the Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Rt Hon. Orman Esin, I wish you a happy stay in Akwa Ibom”, Utang Akwa Ibom said.
