…ROYAL FATHERS SAY PERPETRATORS WON’T ESCAPE PUNISHMENT
In an attempt to stop the Acting Chairman, Hon. Idorenyin Inyang from gaining entry to the Council, traditional injunction was placed at the entrance of the Council which is suspected to be masterminded by the suspended Chairman, Lady Emem Ibanga who is alleged to be indulging in unwholesome activities since her inception.
The traditional injunction otherwise called ‘Mbiam’ was placed in the Council Secretariat’s entrance and other strategic locations within the Council premises, Monday.
The traditional stools in Nsit Atai LGA have frowned at the unwholesome incident and promised that perpetrators will not escape to be punished traditionally describing it as sacrilege.
Our reporter gathered that the Acting Chairman of Nsit Atai, Hon. Idorenyin Inyang reported to duty in the Local Government Council earlier today to meet the scene.
The Ag Chairman who was the former Vice Chairperson in the Council is described as a peaceful and courageous man who dared all the threats and warnings by his former boss not step into the council Secretariat.
Report has it that before getting to the council, the Ag Chairman stopped at the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Nsit Atai, HRM (Chief) Peter Effiong Okon where he met with other traditional rulers who gave him their royal blessing which gave him the courage to access the Council Secretariat.
The picture at the council with traditional injunctions was enough to stop anyone gaining entrance to the place.
The Paramount Ruler and his team in company with the Ag Chairman stormed the council and traditionally removed the injunctions with a promise to investigate the incident, and whoever that is responsible will be punished traditionally.
The Chairman preached peace and called on the people of the Local Government to remain calm. He said that he is going to continue and consolidate on the mandate that was given to him. Adding that he will deal justly with everyone.
The chairman was received by the jubilant crowd of supporters and civil servants who were very happy about the emergence of Hon. Inyang as Ag Chairman of Nsit Atai LGA.
