Already, the election year, 2023 has begun with significant steps at the party level to mobilise the masses and win their favour in three years time when the present leadership of President Mohammadu Buhari will be leaving for another team through electoral process.

Peoples Democratic Party has already activated its structures nationwide ahead of the polls.

There is an indication that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has activated its structures nationwide ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.

People’s Democratic Party begins early plan to take over power at the centre from incumbent Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP structures are reported to be formidable across the side geopolitical zones across the country with active 15 State governors.

PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus is hoping to lead the party to victory as
Nigerians decide who succeeds the President. Meanwhile, PDP seem to be a strong opposition for the ruling party, APC, come 2023.

After its defeat in the 2015 and the 2019 general elections, the PDP has remained resolute in its determination to take over power in the Country from Centre to States.

However, meetings among political who-is-who, stakeholders and key players in the party have begun.

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the party has embarked on strategic reforms and repositioning ahead of the 2023 elections.

According to him, zoning has not yet formed the agenda of the meetings but the national leadership of the party would make its position known at the appropriate time.

He said one of the early plans of the PDP ahead of the elections was to activate its structures and strengthen its formation as one big, united and formidable family.

He furthered by encouraging party faithfuls to be steadfast as the internal meetings will repositioned the party for victory in 2023.
