The Governorship aspirant of Accord Party, Engr Emem Coffie says with the submarine (underground) approach of politicking adopted by the party, the hilltop mansion will be taken over in 2023.

He said this during the official opening of the Campaign Secretariat of the Party in Uyo, Wednesday.

According to him, “We have structures across the 31 Local Government Areas of the State and we are optimistic that we will take over the State come 2023.

“We are not threatened by the gladiators in the State but we believe our submarine strategies will take the State by surprise.”

The Structural Engineer and Real Estate Developer from Nsit Ubium LGA said his biological lineage cuts across the three Senatorial Districts of the State and craves to dissolve the social-polarization created in the State by politics. He added that he will run a Government that Akwaibomites will be able to relate freely despite political affiliations and ethnic existence.

“I am an indigene of Nsit Ubium while my mother is from Oron and my grandmother from Anang axis, Iwukem to be particular. I will stop polarization created in the State by politics and will bring peace to the State.”

He went further to say as the Coordinator of an NGO called Changing Vanguard, he is passionate about human capacity development and has been impacting lives privately. Engr Coffie said more focus will be on developing youths capacities in the technogical aspects to prepare the State for the next generation technology.

“Our program tagged ‘Utom Idung’ is crafted to be a channel of touching and empowering lives from the grassroot. Aspects of Education and Agriculture will be incorporated so youths will be mobilized to advance academically while women/men will be given needed resources for agro-wealth.

As an advocate of continuity in governance, this Nsit Ubium son said he will ensure lofty programs and policies of government are sustained which include the industrialization policy of the present government.

The Aspirant who flew into the State with the wife was at the event with his Deputy Governor Designate, Mrs Love Archibong. He said the Party office is open for all and welcome ideas, suggestions on how to develop the State.

The State Party Chairman, Engr Martins Ansa said Accord Party has taken stock of the various lapses in the governance of the State and will ensure availability of jobs for the youths and packages for retirees will be given as when due. He also said much attention will be given to education, Agriculture and Security sectors of the State. While the traditional stools will be strengthened.

High point of the event was the official opening of the Campaign Office and donation of cash gifts to youths who voluntarily performed at the events.
